According to the saying, a villa should be a reflection of its owner's personality. In this case, the owners, an adventurous couple who love the sea and sailing, wanted to create their own haven in Punta Cana. They enlisted architect Antonio Imbert and interior designer Patricia Reid to build a space that would showcase all of their travels and memories from around the world. Creating a space that was both coherent and reflective of the villa's spirit was a fun and imaginative challenge for Reid. Her goal was to create a joyful vacation home that reflected the owners' love of travel, adventure, and color. The villa's interior patio is a lush oasis of tropical greenery, with palm trees and foliage that extend into the open living spaces. Reid used finished colors, wall techniques, and embroidered fabrics to repeat the exuberant tones of the tropical surroundings. What sets this villa apart is the unique and distinctive decoration in each room, which is based on a different theme. Reid chose every detail with love and care to reflect the owners' passions. For example, the master bedroom features a giant fishbowl filled with saltwater fish and coral to showcase the owners' love of marine life. Another bedroom is inspired by the couple's travels to Asia, with dramatic black walls and vibrant red lacquered beds, and colorful masks from the owner's collection. The African Suite and Dominican Suite were also meticulously decorated with collectible pieces chosen to reflect the owners' passions. In the Dominican Suite, chairs painted by hand, Caribbean collectible paintings, and local craftworks were carefully chosen to create a typical "criollo" style. Reid's imagination was allowed to run wild in this project, resulting in a unique and special villa that is a true reflection of the owners' personalities. The villa's purpose is to bring joy to its guests by providing an amazing and unforgettable space to stay.
